The one thing that stands out to me the most is more a sign of the times during the era. I am Hawaiian, not Black nor White so I had to carry my birth certificate to access the park to prove I was not Black.Sad!

I remember Sam & Sue greeting me as I got there. I was actually afraid of them and the fortune teller in the glass window. I hurried past them and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Our family always went to the Brown Forman annual picnic in August. We would have a birthday cake for my little sister, she thought the day was a party for her thrown for her.

Such a simple park but so much fun. Hilarity Hall is bound to be everyone's best memory of fun. Even the poor could afford to go to Fountaine Ferry Park every now and then. Families made a picnic lunch to enjoy.
